Last week, the gold spot price rose 2.17% with a weakening U.S. Dollar Index. The Gold Bullion Strategy Fund (QGLDX) gained 2.21% for the week. The prices of short-duration fixed-income ETF holdings were lower, on average, last week. The value of the COMEX gold futures, which closes early at 1:30 p.m., jumped 2.39% over the week. Over the month of December, The Gold Bullion Strategy Fund (QGLDX) added 2.17%.
